How to Care

1. Maintain the original bevel angle when sharpening using a fine axe file followed by a sharpening stone.
2. Keep the axe head clean and dry after use and apply axe wax, boiled linseed oil or a light maintenance oil to help prevent rust.
3. Treat the hickory handle periodically with natural linseed oil or axe wax to help prevent drying and splitting.
